Well, it’s fair to say it’s been a while! Although I haven’t posted anything in about 20 years, I have still been cooking. And eating. A lot. I hope that 2018 will see a few more recipes and restaurant reviews, but let’s get to the business in hand.
The Folkestone Wine Company opened back in December, in what was formerly the Lavender Tea Rooms. David Hart, of Seasalter’s Michelin-starred The Sportsman and its sister restaurant The Granville in Canterbury, and his partner Polly Pleasence, of Canterbury’s The Goods Shed, have brought their Kentish credentials to Folkestone. The pair have created an intimate and inviting restaurant serving up local Kentish produce and seafood landed in Folkestone.
You can read the full restaurant review on the Olive magazine website. And if you hear of any new openings in Kent, please let me know via Twitter or email.
Bon appetit!
I’m glad you’re back! I hope we can enjoy some of your A Crust Eaten reviews!
